Tom Carson – Spoken Word Poetry
Create your own spoken word poem with Tom Carson using a sampler and some pre-designated beats. Each participant will work with a preset vibe and some key prompt words, and create a brief spoken word.

Frishta Fresh Poetry – Poetic Resistance
“Poetic Resistance”- During this workshop, we will be discussing ways in which English might have been a barrier, either because of your immigration status or your parents’. We will also be discussing racism, xenophobia, stereotypes and expressing our emotions through poetry. The objective of this workshop is to create an open and safe space for self-expression though poetic form. Attendees will learn to write poetry in whichever language they prefer.
