We’re thrilled to invite you to this year’s celebration of creativity and community with our theme: World Dance. Prepare to be swept off your feet as we embark on a journey through diverse dance traditions from around the globe. This year’s festivities will be more vibrant than ever, with a range of events and activities that celebrate the rich cultural tapestry that makes Milton truly unique.

About Culture Days
Culture Days is a national celebration that brings millions together to participate in thousands of free arts and culture events across the country. Every September and October, communities like ours come alive with creativity, and we’re proud to have been a leading force in this movement for over a decade. Arts Milton has proudly been bringing Culture Days to Milton for the past 15 years.

2024 Events
Our World Dance theme will be the heart of this year’s Culture Days, featuring an exciting lineup of events:

  • Culture Days at the FirstOntario Arts Centre:
    September 21st, 10 AM – 4 PM
    Gallery Opening: 12 PM
    Meet the artists and immerse yourself in the synergy of art and dance.
  • Culture Days at the Library:
    October 5th, 10 AM – 2 PM
  • Culture Days at the Sports Centre:
    October 6th, 2 PM – 4 PM

Art Exhibition
Dance and visual arts come together in a breathtaking exhibition that’s sure to captivate your senses. The Gallery opening on September 21st at 12 PM is your chance to meet the talented artists who bring this dynamic interplay to life. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience how movement and art converge in a beautiful, immersive showcase.

Arts Milton has consistently been at the forefront of cultural excellence. In 2023, we proudly:

  • Ranked 4th nationally among mid-sized cities.
  • Achieved a 6th place ranking nationally overall for the sheer number of activities offered.
  • Won three Spotlight Awards: Best Collaborative Program, and runner-up for the People’s Choice Award.

Our continued success is a testament to the incredible community of Milton, and we’re excited to build on these achievements in 2024.

Best Collaborative Program: A Bow to Outstanding Artists

Special appreciation is extended to those involved in the success of the A Place I Call Home Halton project, which secured the Best Collaborative Program Winner award. Furthermore, our heartfelt gratitude goes to the artists who played a pivotal role in the success of the World Beats Launch Night, earning the Best Collaborative Program Runner-Up award. This unforgettable cultural experience was enriched by the participation of 16 Miles Out, CRASH Rhythm, Bollywood West Dance Studio, and Akwaba Cultural Exchange. Once again, thank you for contributing to the vibrant and diverse cultural tapestry of Milton.
