Summer Days – Aubrey Wilson Quartet

On August 27, Arts Milton will host the Aubrey Wilson Quartet at the Milton Farmer’s Market as part of the 2016 Summer Days performance series. Join us downtown at 10 am near Main and Martin Streets to hear the jazzy musical stylings of Aubrey Wilson and her bandmates.

Aubrey Wilson is a jazz vocalist based out of Southern Ontario. Aubrey has been actively involved in the performing arts since the age of 6. During the time of 2009 until 2012 Aubrey completed a diploma in vocal jazz performance from Mohawk College. While attending Mohawk Aubrey studied extensively with some of the best musicians in Canada including Carol McCartney, Mim Adams, Pat Collins, Bob Shields, Bob Hamper, Chris McLaughlin, and Sophia Perlman.

Aubrey participated in Mohawk’s jazz choir, as well as performed at the 11th annual gala featuring Heather Bambrick. In addition, Aubrey sang backup during the Larry Carlton concert, recorded back up vocals for Nikki Jumper, and recorded at Grant Avenue Studios for the Mohawk College Christmas and Promotional C.D.

The Aubrey Wilson Quartet features Chris Bruder on piano, Tom Altobelli on bass, Sean Bruce Parker on drums and bandleader Aubrey Wilson on vocals. The band is made up of Mohawk jazz alumni, Tom and Chris have also completed their Bachelor of Music degree in contemporary music from Humber College.
