Milton Culture Days Sponsor Week: MyFM

Arts Milton was thrilled when the MyFM team came to town and opened up shop at 103.1 FM. The station keeps Miltonians up to date on local news, sports, weather, traffic between great, family friendly hits from yesterday and today. Plus they offer amazing chances to WIN contests/giveaways.

MyFM are huge supporters of the Milton Community, and Arts Milton. In support of Milton Culture Days, the radio station will play a series of “What’s Going On” spots in order to highlight all of the amazing Culture Days activities.

The Friendship Project 2019 – Volunteers Wanted

2018 Program Participants

As part of our mission to connect the greater Milton community with artists of all genres in the spirit of providing cultural enrichment, Arts Milton is offering a new program entitled “The Friendship Project”. This project, which will take place from February – May 2019, will connect newcomers with hosts from the Milton community and have them discover inspiring local arts and culture together.

We’ve posted our call-out below – please share it with anyone whom you think might benefit. The ideal participants are families with 1 or 2 parents, who have lived in Canada for three years or less, and have changed between the ages of 4-12.

The 2019 application form can be found here.

Milton Culture Days 2018 – Sponsors

The following Milton Culture Days sponsors have all contributed to this important event – in different but important ways!

Both Milton Orthotic & Wellness Centre and Mabel’s Labels have shown their support through sponsorship. Mabel’s Labels, an Ontario based sticker and labeling company, is also donating both financial sponsorship, as well as a donation of swag for our little Culture Days collectors (participating kids can collect stickers at each activity for the chance to pick out some trinkets at the end of their visit!).

Mark Recile is one of the most creative Directors on the Arts Milton Board, and is sponsoring Milton Culture Days on behalf of Shaolin Temple Quanfa Institute. STQI wants to share with the community the practice of mind and body cultivation using Traditional Shaolin Temple Kung Fu.

The Milton Villager supports Milton Culture Days through community coverage, and amazing photography! Thanks to their team, we are able to capture the essence of this amazing event!

Paramount Fine Foods Milton will craft a series of delicious appetizers and sandwiches to be enjoyed at both the Opening Reception Party, and in the Activity Organizer Refreshment Room throughout the weekend.

Milton Culture Days Sponsor – Sapphire Dental

Thank-you to Sapphire Dental Centre for their support of Milton Culture days 2018.

Then Sapphire is perfect. This husband wife dentist duo have a genuine caring nature, and know exactly how to put nervous clients at ease. Read the letter below for proof!

Milton Culture Days Sponsors

We have a great group of Milton Culture Days sponsors this year, and chances are the event would not be nearly as exciting without them!

Thank-you to McCuaig Insurance Milton for finding Arts Milton the right insurance for our unique needs, and for their financial support of our biggest programming event of the year!

Thank-you to Milton Home Hardware and the ReStore Milton for seeing our vision of a painted vintage vinyl stage backdrop and providing us with all of the materials to make it possible. Painstakingly designed by local artist Omar “Oms” Hopkinson.

Thank-you to Real Canadian Superstore for their continued support of our Activity Organizer Refreshment Room. And for agreeing to host one of our most popular children’s activities – a cooking class for kids by PC Cooking School Milton!

Thank-you to The Home Depot for partnering with Arts Milton to make our 2018 Community Project possible. The Home Depot will provide all of the wood, stain and tools needed to bring artist Angela Ferguson’s collective community creation to life!

Milton Culture Days – Activity Sheets

There are two excellent ways to plan your Milton Culture Days experience. You can visit culturedays.ca and search events in Milton (There’s over 100!). You can narrow the search by location, date, and type of activity. You can even create a Bright Spots Schedule!

Another way to pick and choose your activities at Milton Culture Days is to visit the Arts Milton website and check out our 2018 Activity Sheets. Broken down by date and time, these sheets also tell you the type of activity, and where you can find it during the Culture Days weekend! Feel free to print, and circle favourites the old fashioned way 😉

Of course, you can also join us at the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton on September 29 and 30 and just see where the wind takes you!

Milton Culture Days – Sponsors

Arts Milton thanks Milton Optometry and McCuaig Insurance for their financial sponsorship of Milton Culture Days. This kind of gift allows us to enhance the event in important ways. Examples of this might include an increased marketing budget, more supplies for workshops, and the ability to add more technical support.

We are grateful for donations from both Home Hardware and The Home Depot this year. Milton’s Home Hardware Building Centre has donated all of the supplies for our 2018 Stage Backdrop. This allows Arts Milton to work with a local artist to create the showpiece of the event. The Home Depot is donating materials for our Annual Arts Milton Community Project – as they have generously done in past years. The Community Project is an important element of Milton Culture Days – often resulting in a mural style project which is hung on the walls of the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton.

Both the Real Canadian Superstore and Paramount Fine Foods Milton will contribute food, beverages and appetizers to our Opening Reception Party and in our Activity Organizer Refreshment Room.

The Milton Villager Magazine faithfully covers the Culture Days event each year, in addition to sending professional photographers to capture all the interactive fun!

Milton Culture Days Sponsor – MyFM

Arts Milton is excited to partner with MyFM this year for a series of radio spots and interviews about Culture Days.

Since it’s inception only a couple of year’s ago, Milton’s new radio station has gathered a dedicated base of listeners, and a great deal of support from the business community. In addition to an appealing range of music, MyFM manages a popular social media presence, and has become a go to source for community news!
